Sample Shipment by Cargo

For specimens shipped from out of city or partner institutions to our laboratory, adhering to correct transport and packaging conditions is critical to protect analysis quality. Please review the step-by-step instructions below before shipment.

Step-by-Step Sample Shipment Guide

  1. Requisition Form and Labeling: The patient's name, surname, and date of birth must be written on the sample tube. A completed and physician-signed Test Requisition Form must accompany the sample.
  2. Secure Packaging: To prevent leakage or breakage, specimen tubes must be wrapped in protective bubble wrap and placed inside leak-proof shipping containers.
  3. Temperature Regulation: EDTA blood samples for DNA/RNA tests can be shipped at room temperature (18-24 °C). However, serum or frozen samples must be shipped under cold chain conditions (2-8 °C or using gel ice packs). Samples must never be frozen directly.
  4. Cargo Delivery: Samples should be sent via our contracted cargo carriers (e.g., Yurtiçi Kargo) to our center address: Teşvikiye Mah. Hakkı Yeten Cad. No:17/A D:8 K:3 Şişli / İstanbul, Turkey using the provided contract code.
For cargo contract codes and specimen collection kit requests, please contact our laboratory at +90 (212) 291 10 26 prior to shipping.
